Tales of Terruha: Black Bird is coming along. I set myself a schedule for days were I write for most of the day, or something involving it like brainstorming. I also set a limit. I want to get at least 500 or more words in for the days I write in the book. I feel better getting in that many words in a day. for Charms it was 1000, but with a baby taking up most of my time 500 seems reasonable to me. I also give myself a break away from the computer to do something else to let my mine relax for a bit. It helps when I’m blocked too.
Speaking of blocked, those moments when it happens are when I notice I would get distracted other than my baby boy distracting me. As in I would do something not related to the book. So to combat it I try to be productive in other ways. Promote my book more, brainstorm the next scene, and plot the book cover was one. I plan to change Charms cover and coordinate all three book. Black Birds is sort of started but not drawn out. I might do so ones I get farther in the story.
As for the story, I have a good start in my opinion, the story did change compared to before. A sub plot I had in Charms was Akane and Lio becoming closer. I don’t plan adding any love stories in Black Bird, the sub plot is more about two becoming closer as trusted partners and opening up a werewolves trust in others that are not animals. That is what I have so far and who knows it could change too, but I want to stick with that.
Updates soon to come, thanks for reading.
